Day 1

I'm not sure I want to blog. Retirement and free time has led me to think about writing and blogging seems to be a good way to practice....
Today, the country comes to terms with the death of Senator Kennedy. Here in the Northeast his passing marks the end of political era spanning 5 decades and perhaps the end of the Kennedy political dynasty in American Government.
For me, who will carry the torch of liberalism in this country. Albeit, Senator Kennedy has passed the torch to President Obama; time will tell if he will be a standard bearer for liberalism.

So, may the Kennedy Health Care Reform Act, with a public option be the lasting legacy for Senator Kennedy. A health care bill that guarantees equal access to health care for all; a reality that is long overdue in the wealthiest country in the world.
